Fast becoming festival favourites at Birmingham, Big Bear recording artists The Whiskey Brothers are Richard Heath on vocals and mandolin and Gerry Smith on piano. In the mid-1990s they formed the Splinter Blues Band, but since 2012 they have worked as a duo, playing their favourite style of music, old-time acoustic blues combined with their own material.
