Simon Spillett Quartet

Shortly before Covid struck, top tenor saxophonist Simon Spillett had dusted down the parts for the old Tubby Hayes Big Band and the Simon Spillett Big Band was about to debut. Covid, of course, set that back, but Simon is now taking the big band on the road. This is, of course, alongside his crowded schedule of quartet appearances. Simon, the acknowledged expert on Tubby Hayes, keeps his memory alive by his own dynamic performances as well as by the many books/reviews/sleeve notes which he writes so elegantly.
