Once again the Birmingham Jazz Festival presents the acceptable face of politics. Away from political campaigning, former MP John Hemming is a jazz enthusiast, a Festival Board member and a polished pianist who can be relied on to bring a first-class band to the festival. The always popular Jazz Lobbyists are now regular festival favourites.
