It’s difficult to cover the full range of former British Jazz Award winner Craig Milverton’s jazz activities. Influenced by Bill Evans and Oscar Peterson, he nevertheless first became known for his work with the blues band Junkyard Angels and then with Pete Allen’s Jazz Band. As well as being an outstanding solo pianist, he has taken part in many of Digby Fairweather’s varied projects and is a noted accompanist to singers such as Stacey Kent and Tina May. Top Americans he has played with include Ken Peplowski, Scott Hamilton and Warren Vache. In recent years Craig has worked on A Tribute to Oscar Peterson and, with singer Louise Parker, When Oscar Met Billie.
