Leila Duclos appeared at the 2017 Birmingham festival in a two-guitars format with her father Cyril, playing music essentially derived from the Hot Club style, but with the addition of her vocals. She is a busy performer on the thriving Paris jazz scene, particularly with her regular appearances with a wide range of guest musicians at the literary café, Paul et Rimbaud. Also she works regularly in a duo with Spanish guitarist Raphael Fays, covering both flamenco and Hot Club. This year she is joined by fellow-guitarist Didier Conchon whose wide-ranging talents include an album for 33 Records in much more contemporary style with a group co-led by saxist Ray Layzelle.
