Lee Jones is a British jazz-rock guitarist who is making his first appearance at the Festival. Stylistically capable of taking in modern jazz, fusion, blues and rock, he has played alongside the likes of Larry Coryell, Martin Taylor and Dennis Rollins. He has made six solo guitar albums and a series of guitar videos, with his next album, Night Train Part II, scheduled for this year.

Lee appears in a duo with bassist Tom Clarke-Hill, a stalwart of the Birmingham Jazz Festival and a man who defies stereotypes. A Californian based in Birmingham, he is an actor, presenter and voice-over artist as well as being a highly versatile musician who is a key member of the Festival’s in house trios.
